Polish President Andrzej Duda will speak at the UN climate summit (COP-29) in Baku, despite the fact that he deliberately did not take part in a group photo with other leaders. He did not want to be photographed because of the presence of Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko.

This was reported by RAR. For the same reason, Duda also did not appear in a group photo of the participants of the COP28 climate summit in Dubai last year. At the previous summit, the presidents of Lithuania and Latvia also refused to be photographed with Lukashenko.

"The President of Poland took part in the official greeting ceremony but did not appear in the joint photo with other leaders. The president (Andrzej Duda – Ed.), as PAP has unofficially learned, did not want to be in a joint photo with Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko," the statement said.

This year's summit is called the "financial COP" because for the first time in 15 years, the amount and structure of financing for developing countries to support measures to combat climate change will be considered.

Earlier it was reported that Polish President Andrzej Duda insists that Western partners provide Ukraine with everything it needs to achieve a complete victory in the war against Russia. According to him, success in the fight against the aggressor is important not only for Ukraine but also for the whole of Europe.
