Azerbaijan Airlines plane was shot down by a Russian missile fired during drone activity over Grozny – Euronews

The crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane was caused by a Russian missile. Putin's army used an anti-aircraft missile system against a civilian vessel during drone activity over Grozny in the Chechen Republic.

The pilots attempted to make an emergency landing near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan, but the plane crashed as a result. This was reported by Euronews.

According to preliminary data, the missile was fired at Flight 8432 during drone activity over Grozny, and the debris hit the passengers and crew when it exploded near the plane during the flight.

Euronews cited government sources as saying that the damaged plane was not allowed to land at any Russian airport, despite the pilots' request for an emergency landing. Instead of assisting with the emergency landing, the pilots were ordered to fly across the Caspian Sea towards Kazakhstan. Moreover, the aircraft's GPS navigation systems were jammed throughout the flight over the sea.

Russian terrorists fired a missile from the "Pantsir-S" anti-aircraft missile and gun system. As the plane flew over the territory of Chechnya, Russian air defense forces were actively trying to shoot down the UAV.

As a reminder, an Embraer E190 passenger plane flying from the Azerbaijani capital Baku to Grozny (Chechnya) crashed in Kazakhstan. There were 62 passengers and five crew members on board, including Russians.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the morning of December 25, Chechnya came under drone strikes. At least 5 explosions were heard in the capital of the region, Grozny. At least one of the UAVs exploded in the area of the 2nd Regiment of Special Police named after Akhmat Kadyrov.
