Three Turkish-made Bayraktar drones were spotted at the military base of Wagner PMC in African Mali. The images were taken from a helicopter a week after the plane of the head of the group Yevgeny Prigozhin was shot down.

This is reported by The Insider. Published photos also contain metadata saying that they were taken on August 30.

They show a military base at Sevare airport near the town of Mopti, formerly controlled by the Wagner soldiers. It was attacked by Islamist militants in April this year.

Sources inside the former Wagner group told The Insider that control of the military base in Sevare was handed over to representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry.

The fact that Mali has Bayraktar TB2 was reported by local media last year, but the country then bought two drones. The photo shows that Mali has more of them.

It is noteworthy that the photos were taken from a helicopter a week after the plane of Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin was shot down in the sky near Tver.

Reuters noted that Putin had brought the Wagner soldiers and other mercenaries under tighter state control after Prigozhin's death .

The publication notes that the Russian president signed a decree requiring all private military companies, including "volunteer formations," to sign an oath of allegiance to Russia. This decree was issued days after the airplane crash that led to the death of the Wagner leader.
