US President Joe Biden said that Russia will not win this war. He clearly and confidently said that Ukraine will win, and that the United States will support and strengthen Ukraine "in this battle" and help it in the long run.

Biden said this at the beginning of his meeting with Zelenskyy at the White House. The US President also announced a new military aid package and a discussion of a plan for Ukraine's victory.

"You have already presented us with a rough plan for winning this war. And that's exactly what we're going to discuss today so that you can win this conflict," Biden said.

According to him, the first task is to strengthen Ukraine's position on the battlefield.

"Right now, we have to strengthen Ukraine's position on the battlefield. And that’s why today I am proud to announce a new US$2.4 billion package of security assistance. The Department of Defense will also allocate the remaining Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative funds by the end of this year. This will strengthen Ukraine too," he said.

"Second, we look ahead to help Ukraine succeed in the long term," the US President added.

He noted that Ukraine should be supported on its path to EU and NATO membership and emphasized that Kyiv should be provided with sufficient capacity to defend itself against future Russian aggression.

"So I’m proud of the steps we’ve taken in our partnership on these fronts," Biden said.

In this context, he mentioned the signing of security treaties with more than 20 countries.

"So with both these actions, we're making it clear we stand with Ukraine now and in the future, and we’ve got a lot to discuss. These two elements are critical to how this war ends. Let me be clear: Russia will not prevail in the war. Russia will not prevail. Ukraine will prevail, and we’ll continue to stand by you every step of the way," Joe Biden said.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Joe Biden at the White House on Thursday, September 26, to present his victory plan.

As reported, on the same day, Zelenskyy met with delegations from the US Senate and House of Representatives in the Capitol. He showed them the key points of the plan.
