"Putin is a psychopath and paranoid": Bezsmertnyi explains what messages the Russian dictator sends to Donald Trump
By continuing his daily shelling of Ukraine even on New Year's Day and Christmas, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin may be trying to show US President-elect Donald Trump that he is not afraid of him. However, Trump will not stoop to the level of responding to such "messages" because he understands that the power of the United States is not commensurate with the power of the Russian Federation from a military point of view.
This was stated by Ukrainian politician and diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi in the new issue of the "Analysis of the Week" on OBOZ.UA. However, the key motive for Trump's behavior is money. He wants to make America rich and himself rich.
According to the diplomat, Putin's behavior is impossible for people living in a democratic country to understand because he is a psychopath and paranoid.
"As for certain messages to Trump, the forces are too disproportionate in terms of military and technical level. The United States is an order of magnitude superior, as even this war demonstrates. Please note that Ukraine is being supplied with equipment manufactured in the 80s, and 70s, and developed in the 60s. The reason is clear: this is the so-called drip aid, which is based on the doctrine of controlled escalation. Therefore, in this regard, it is unlikely that even in his thoughts Donald Trump would stoop to this level," Bezsmertnyi said.
In his opinion, Putin wants to deprive Trump of the key goal with which he entered politics. The president-elect wants to make America rich, and he wants to make himself rich.
"The war, as you know, is an incomprehensible thing for him. He doesn't know that America as America was created after the First and Second World Wars. No one really saw America as a country of influence before the First World War. It emerged because it earned strong, solid money as a result of these wars. Trump does not know this. He is building a completely different system. And if you put this in the context of the fact that the world today is different, then there is a problem with the state policy, which has a state doctrine that the United States should profess. Isolationism in a world where the Chinese have opened up looks simply inadequate," the diplomat added.
