The North Atlantic Alliance is not psychologically ready for a war with Russia. NATO member states have a lot of weapons, and they are more effective than the Russians, but they are not ready to use them. If the aggressor state continues its militarization over the next few years, NATO will probably not have a chance.

This was stated by Mykhailo Podoliak, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in an interview with the FREEDOM TV channel. The official commented on the statements that the Alliance will be ready to repel possible Russian aggression in 3-5 years.

Podoliak noted that he is struck not only by the endless emergence of plans that Russia could allegedly attack NATO countries in 3-5 years. According to him, what is more striking is that the countries of the bloc are not psychologically prepared for war.

"That is, they have a lot of weapons, they are much more effective, but they are not ready to use them. And, accordingly, if Russia maintains the pace of militarization and authoritarianism that it is in today in 5 years, NATO has no chance," Podoliak said.

The OP representative believes that the only way to defeat Moscow is to do so at the expense of Ukraine. That is, we need to help Ukraine do everything possible to make Russia lose the war it started on Ukrainian soil.

The Kremlin realizes that the Alliance is not ready for war, so it is raising the stakes, abolishing taboos, breaking all the rules of war, and preparing a foothold for itself.

"The only way to defeat Russia is to defeat it at the expense of Ukraine. That is, Ukraine can do it. But then NATO countries should prepare for very serious consequences," Podoliak emphasized.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, earlier ISW said that Putin is not interested in peace talks with Ukraine, but seeks the complete destruction of Ukrainian statehood. The Kremlin views the victory over Ukraine as the beginning of a war with NATO.
