Yuriy Glodan gave his life for Ukraine

Yuriy Glodan, a resident of Odesa whose family was killed by a Russian missile attack on the Tiras residential complex on April 23, 2022,died in the war against the Russian occupiers. On that fateful day, the Ukrainian's life was saved by an accident - he left the house to go to the store.

After the tragedy, the man took up arms to defend the country. First, he joined Azov, then the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In early November 2023, it became known that the soldier had passed away. This was reported on Facebook by Oleksandr Yakovenko.

He said that in civilian life, Glodan worked as a baker. The man had a family, but his wife Valeria, three-month-old daughter Kira, and the child's grandmother Lyudmyla were killed by a Russian missile.

Yakovenko noted: "Glodan acted like a worthy son of the Ukrainian nation and went to defend the country from the occupiers. According to him, the fallen soldier was identified by a cross.

The death of the Odesa resident became known in November 2023.

To recap: On April 23, 2022, a 16-storey residential building in Odesa was hit by a plane, followed by the occupation of apartments on the 4th and 5th floors.

"My relatives, the kingdom of heaven! You are in our hearts!" Yuriy Glodan wrote about the deaths of his relatives.

The Russian Ministry of Defense lied that with this attack on Odesa they allegedly destroyed a "logistics terminal at a military airfield" with "a large batch of Western weapons."

As OBOZ.UA wrote:

- On November 1, a 31-year-old defender from Ternopil region, Oleksandr Symovin, was killed in the war for Ukraine's freedom.

- Earlier, a soldier from Transcarpathia, Serhiy Kuznev, was killed in the battles with the Russian invaders. The defender was an ATO veteran and actively helped his comrades return to peaceful life after the war.

- A young defender Mark Danyliuk from Kovel, Volyn region, was killed near Robotyno, Zaporizhzhia region. He was only 22 years old.
