"We have never refused": Putin declares readiness for talks with Ukraine based on Istanbul agreement

Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin claims that Moscow is supposedly ready to negotiate with Kyiv. The war criminal wants the agreement reached in Istanbul in 2022 to be the basis.

The so-called Russian president made the statement on September 5 from the stage of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. The statement was captured on video.

Putin claims that Russia has "never refused" to negotiate.

"Are we ready to negotiate with them [Ukraine]? We have never refused to do so, but not on the basis of some ephemeral demands, but on the basis of the documents that were agreed upon and actually initialed in Istanbul," the leader of the aggressor state said.

He would like to see China, Brazil, and India as mediators because he has "trusting" relations with representatives of these countries.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, former Russian President and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called Ukraine's operation in the Kursk region an "act of terrorism." He said that the West was allegedly trying to lure Russia into a "negotiation trap with unclear prospects and consequences," but now there can be "no negotiations" for sure.
