"We are out of politics": Russian civilians in Sudzha do not understand why the Russian army is shelling them and does not give them a "green corridor"

The authorities of the aggressor country, the Russian Federation, do not allow their citizens to leave the combat zone in the Kursk region, in particular, the city of Sudzha , which is controlled by Ukraine. The Russians themselves do not understand why the Russian army is destroying their own settlements with the use of bombs, striking at places where there are no military personnel.

This was stated by Vadym Mysnyk, spokesperson for the Siversk operational and tactical group of troops, during a telethon on September 1. "We communicate a lot with the locals. We even show them photo exhibitions of destroyed Ukrainian cities, show films about the crimes committed by the Russians at the beginning of the war. They have different opinions," said the military.

According to him, for the most part, Russians do not understand the scale of the crimes committed by the aggressor country.

"They say that they want peace, that they are out of politics, that everything should stop or they should be given a corridor to leave the war zone, which Russia does not give. And they don't understand why the enemy is hitting the places where there are no military, their towns and villages with both bombs and drones," said Misnyk.

He added that Russians recently destroyed Sudzha's Ice Arena with bombs, and two days ago a boarding school, "a fairly modern building, and there are many such examples."

At the same time, the Ukrainian military is trying to create conditions for normal living conditions on the territory under its control. However, most residents of Suzha spend the night in basements, as the shelling has intensified in recent days.

The humanitarian situation is difficult, as Russia is shelling its own cities and villages, not taking into account the local population, said Misnyk.

The spokesman emphasized: "Ukraine is complying with international humanitarian law and is providing civilians with food, medicine and medical care. The supply of technical and drinking water has also been organized .

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Sudzha is undergoing fierce attacks by Russian forces and serious destruction. The army is using scorched earth tactics not only in Ukraine, but also in its own Kursk region, where the occupiers are unsuccessfully trying to drive the Ukrainian Armed Forces out.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA correspondents visited Sudzha. It is a small district center with a population of 7 thousand people. The border with Ukraine is about 10 km away.
