US to allocate $200 million aid package to Ukraine today: what it will include

According to media reports, the United States will provide Ukraine with another $200 million in military aid. The announcement is expected to be made on Wednesday, October 11.

This is reported by Voice of America, citing American officials. They say that this package will include AIM-9 Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missiles.

The United States will also provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with artillery ammunition for Highly Mobile Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), TOW anti-tank missiles, and 155-mm and 105-mm shells.

In addition to these weapons, the military aid package will include ammunition for small arms, explosive munitions to overcome obstacles set up by the Russian occupation forces, as well as anti-drone and electronic warfare equipment.

"This is the 48th time that the United States has used its Presidential Drawdown Authority to provide the Ukrainian army with equipment from American stockpiles," the statement said.

It is noted that the United States has already provided Ukraine with about $44 billion in military assistance since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022. Now the Pentagon has about $5 billion left to support the Armed Forces.
