Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy enemy logistics in Kursk region, Russian command redeploys forces from two directions – ISW
Ukrainian troops continue the operation in the Kursk region, advancing deep into the territory of the Russian Federation. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are attacking Russian landlines to disrupt the enemy's logistics.
In turn, the occupiers are trying to regain lost ground and are moving reserves to the Kursk region. This is stated in the analysis of the Institute for War Studies.
Ukrainian troops continued to attack southwest of Korenevo in the area of Snahosti and Vyshnevka; northwest of Sudzha in the area of Mala Loknia; north of Sudzha in the area of Maryivka; northeast of Sudzha in the area of Martynivka; and southeast of Sudzha in the area of Cherkaska Konopelka.
Putin's invaders tried to conduct counterattacks in the Kursk region. The invaders attacked east of Korenevo near Olhivka; and southeast of Sudzha near Cherkaska Konopelka. Kremlin propagandists claim that Russian troops have regained lost positions south and east of Koreneve, in the area of Stepukhivka (northeast of Koreneve), and in the area of Mala Loknia.
In addition, the Russian military command is redeploying one airborne regiment and a reconnaissance battalion of the 106th Airborne Division from the Siversky and Kramatorsk directions to Kursk region. One self-propelled artillery battalion of the 20th motorized rifle division was also spotted redeploying from the Kurakhove direction.
To paralyze the enemy's movements in Kursk region, the Ukrainian military is attacking logistics. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are destroying ground communication lines in the near rear in the Kursk region. In particular, on September 8, footage appeared showing Ukrainian forces destroying another bridge across the Seim north of the village of Karyzha in the Hlushkivsky district.
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that there is currently no threat of a Russian offensive on the city of Sumy. This threat was eliminated due to the actions of the Ukrainian military.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian occupation forces, after the offensive in the Kharkiv region, planned to attack in the Sumy direction. Several factors prevented this, including the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
