The Russian occupation forces are building up their groups in the Kharkiv region, attracting units from other regions. Despite the fighting in the Kursk region, the invaders are pulling up reserves in the direction of Vovchansk.

This was reported by Vitaliy Sarantsev, spokesman for the Kharkiv operational and tactical group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on August 8 during a national telethon. He noted that in the direction of Vovchansk, the enemy rotated personnel, introducing a new unit from Luhansk region.

The enemy is also carrying out internal rotations, involving personnel who were previously in the reserve. He emphasized that despite active hostilities in the Kursk region, Russian forces continue to attack Ukrainian positions.

"In the direction of Vovchansk, the enemy has already rotated its personnel, it has brought in a new unit from Luhansk region. He also conducts internal rotations, engages personnel who were previously on the second echelon. So despite all the events (in the Kursk region - Ed.), the enemy continues to try to storm our positions," Sarantsev said.

He added that there is no decrease in the number of personnel.

The occupants' goal remains to capture Vovchansk and further advance. The enemy is trying to expand the area of control in the town and advance from the flanks. At the same time, Russian forces have started to use aviation less frequently, and no air strikes have been recorded over the past day.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region have advanced up to 10 kilometers into Russia. The armored vehicles of the Defense Forces have taken up positions along the 38K-030 Sudzha - Korenevo highway.
