To protect Ukraine's cities from Russian attacks, more support is needed to ensure a fair response to the aggressor. In particular, decisions are needed on long-range strikes on missile launch sites in Russia, destruction of the occupiers' military logistics , and joint downing of missiles and UAVs.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky on September 1. On his official Telegram channel, he also posted a video of the consequences of powerful Russian strikes in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Poltava, Prykarpattia, Kherson, and other regions.

The President informed that last week alone, Russia used more than 160 missiles of various types, 780 guided aerial bombs and 400 attack drones of various types against Ukrainians.

"It is only fair that Ukrainians should be able to respond to Russian terror in exactly the way necessary to stop it. Every day and every night, our cities and villages are under enemy attack," Zelensky said.

He also called for adequate support from Ukraine's partners to protect its cities from air attacks.

"To give full protection and secure our cities from this aggression, more support is needed for Ukraine's just response. Decisions on long-range strikes on missile launch sites from Russia, destruction of Russian military logistics, joint downing of missiles and drones. All that will help to counter Russian evil," the Ukrainian leader said.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the afternoon of August 30, Russian troops massively attacked Kharkiv with multiple rocket launchers, hitting five locations, including a 12-story residential building. Six people were killed, including a 14-year-old girl, and 97 others were injured.
