Colonel Vadym Sukharevsky, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that robotic systems and drones are already being introduced at the level of individual battalions of the Defense Forces . This practice helps to save the lives of Ukrainian defenders.

He made this statement during the first annual International Academic Forum "Military Innovations in Modern Warfare" held in Kyiv under the patronage of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky on Monday, April 22. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The panel discussion on "Drone Warfare: Evolution of Modern Trends" was also attended by Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Transformation, Digital Development and Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko, as well as representatives of Ukrainian and foreign drone manufacturers with experience of cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Chernogorenko noted that the Ministry of Defense is currently developing close cooperation between the military, developers, businesses, and researchers, as it understands that "our main goal is to have a technological advantage over the enemy."

"As part of the Drone Coalition, we have agreements with our partners to test their products on the battlefield and provide feedback. Participation in the Coalition is not only direct assistance to the Ukrainian army, but also a contribution to the overall development of the defense industry in the world," said the Deputy Minister of Defense.

At the same time, representatives of Ukrainian and foreign drone manufacturers emphasized the changing trends at the front and the need to improve existing developments, even those that have already demonstrated successful results.

"We are moving towards saving soldiers' lives by using machines and technologies. No matter how much a drone or robot costs, a soldier's life is still more valuable. That's why we are working on introducing robotic systems and drones at the level of individual battalions," Sukharevsky added during his speech.

As a reminder, Belarusians and Ukrainians have organized joint production of FPV drones. The combat drones have already been tested in Ukraine. The first 25 drones were manufactured and delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Ukraine has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in the creation of its own long-range drones. Currently, six companies are producing attack drones capable of hitting remote targets. Ukraine is using them to strike at the territory of the terrorist country Russia, ignoring US demands to stop attacks on Russia.
