"They didn't even speak English": Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier tells about mercenaries from Nepal whom Russia threw into "meaty" assaults near Robotyne

The invaders are constantly trying to recapture lost positions in this area

Heavy fighting between Russian occupation forces and Ukrainian defenders continues in the Zaporizhzhia sector near the village of Robotyne. Putin's army is also throwing mercenaries from Nepal, who do not even speak English, into the "meaty" assaults.

This was stated by the battalion commander of the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, nicknamed "Lemberg". "The invaders in this area are constantly trying to recapture lost positions.

For this purpose, they most often use paratroopers traveling in armored personnel carriers.

"Between the points and 50-70 meters, they try to gain a foothold there. And they start to control. Then they put pressure if there is no artillery preparation," said Lemberg.

The fiercest fighting in the Zaporizhzhia sector is taking place south of Robotyne, towards Novoprokopivka.

The occupants are trying to storm these Ukrainian positions day after day. However, our defenders manage to hold them at the cost of incredible efforts.

At the same time, the Russian Federation is probably running out of prisoners, as Putin's commanders have started to send mercenaries from distant countries, including Nepal, to the assault. These people are captured by our defenders.

"They didn't even speak English. They didn't say anything, they were just silent," Lemberg said.

In early December, it became known that eight Nepalese citizens had signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense to participate in the war against Ukraine. After receiving their first payment of 195,000 rubles immediately after signing the documents, the mercenaries fled the territory of their military unit and most likely managed to cross the Russian border.

The next day, the media reported that six mercenaries from Nepal who had served in the Russian army had been killed. The Nepalese Foreign Ministry said it had asked the Russian government to immediately return the bodies of the killed mercenaries and pay compensation to their families.
