Christmas has also come to the Russian occupiers who invaded Ukraine to seize cities and kill locals but were taken prisoner. They could have celebrated this holiday at home, but the aggressor country Russia is in no hurry to return its citizens who were sent to a foreign country to commit crimes.

Footage from one of the colonies where Russian prisoners of war are held was published on the Telegram channel of the "Hochu Zhit" (I Want to Live) project on Sunday, December 24. This project is designed to help the Russian army surrender safely.

"The holiday comes to everyone, even to Russian prisoners of war. These people could have celebrated it at home, in their family circle, but their state thinks differently and is in no hurry to return them," the statement said.

The photo shows several hundred Russian soldiers for whom the concert was organized. Their appearance - clean, with no traces of violence, hunger strikes or beatings - proves that Ukraine is complying with international humanitarian law and basic humanity.

The project called to show these images to those who "tell tales of the horrors of Ukrainian captivity" and ask them to show similar ones from Russian captivity.

They also noted that they demanded that the Russian side treat Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilian hostages in the same way.
