The village of New York in the Donetsk region is currently under the control of the Russian occupiers. Unfortunately, it has been left in ruins.
This was reported by DeepStateUA on Telegram. The aerial photo shows destroyed houses with no life in them.
"The village is often associated with another New York – a big and democratic one. There is no Manhattan here, but there is Petrivska Hora. Unfortunately, there is no life here anymore, only wandering bastards who are going to storm Nelipivka," the message says.

The Russians launched an offensive on New York in late June 2024, and in just two months they managed to capture the village. Now the enemy is trying to establish control over the village of Nelipivka, which is located nearby.

New York is a settlement in Ukraine, in the Toretsk city territorial community of the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region. It is located on the Kryvyi Torets River, 10 km from Toretsk and 38 km from Donetsk. Until 2024, almost 11 thousand people lived there, and after the Russian offensive in 2024, 1,940 people lived there.
