"The solution will not be easy": Trump discusses war in Ukraine with Czech PM
US President-elect Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala. Among other things, the politicians discussed Russia's war against Ukraine.
This was reported by České noviny. Fiala refrained from commenting on Trump's view of the war in Ukraine, but according to the prime minister, it is clear that resolving the conflict will not be easy.
"The conversation surprised me in two ways. It was a really open discussion. Donald Trump asked me about my views on the Ukrainian-Russian conflict and its resolution. I was also surprised by the cordiality and friendliness of the conversation," he said.
Asked whether Trump, who had previously promised to end Russia's war against Ukraine in 24 hours, provided any details about his plan, Fiala said he does not disclose the content of private conversations. It's "not customary" to do so, and in his opinion, everyone says only what they want to say in public.
"Of course, the solution to Russian aggression against Ukraine will not be easy, I think we all know that," the politician said.
Fiala and Trump also discussed the situation in the Middle East and Czech-American relations.
As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, according to media reports, Ukraine was allegedly developing its Victory Plan with the possibility that Donald Trump could be elected the new president of the United States. And European and American officials even advised on how best to formulate proposals.
