Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the second enemy Su-34 bomber fighter jet in a day. Like the first aircraft, it landed on the eastern front.

This was reported by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk. He noted that current trends indicate that Russia has adopted the tactics of "meat assaults" not only on the ground but also in the sky.

"Around 14.00 we practiced on another Su-34. The direction is the same! The target is the same! With such losses of combat and special aviation, the Russians should have thought about stopping their "air assaults" at least for a while. Well, we are working on... To victory!" the Air Force Commander emphasized.

Oleshchuk also showed a photo that shows a downed Russian plane falling to the ground like a rock, seemingly losing some parts along the way.

"The photo is not an exclamation point or a question mark, it is a burning Russian "Su-34". So that no one doubts!" the Air Force commander captioned the colorful photo.

The Su-34 multifunctional supersonic fighter-bomber, which has been under development since 1986, is designed to strike targets in operational and tactical depth with the main efforts concentrated at a distance of 150-600 km from the line of combat contact. According to open source information, the Su-34 belongs to the 4++ generation in terms of its combat capabilities and allows it to perform basic combat missions without being escorted by cover fighters due to its high combat capabilities, which allows it to conduct independent maneuvering air combat with any available enemy fighters on equal terms.

The crew of this aircraft consists of two people. The estimated cost of one aircraft is 50 million dollars.

The invaders are actively using the Su-34 to strike at the positions of Ukrainian soldiers at the front with guided aerial bombs and X-59 missiles.

The first such plane was lost by the Russian occupiers that day in the morning. Then the Air Force commander advised Russian pilots to say goodbye to their families before each flight, just in case.

And this advice is more than timely: the losses of the invaders in aviation have been impressive lately.

For example, Ukrainian defenders shot down a Su-34 on February 21. It became the seventh enemy aircraft destroyed in a week.

Two more Russian planes, a Su-34 fighter-bomber and a Su-35S fighter, landed on February 19, also in the east.

On February 17, Ukrainian defenders shot down three Russian aircraft at once. Two Su-34 frontline bombers and one Su-35 fighter finished their flight forever that day.

However, the most serious blow to Russian aviation came on February 23: while Russia was celebrating Russian Army Day, Ukrainian soldiers shot down a Russian A-50U aircraft, of which there are only a few in service with the Russian Armed Forces, near the Sea of Azov.
