At about 7 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, Russian troops shelled the center of Kherson from the left bank. A 29-year-old man was wounded as a result of the shelling. The Korabelny district of the city was also attacked, where the occupiers wounded a 54-year-old man, the victims were hospitalized. In the afternoon, another 67-year-old man was wounded by an artillery strike.

"Around 7:00, Russian troops from the temporarily occupied left bank shelled the central part of Kherson. As a result of this attack, a 29-year-old man was wounded. He is currently hospitalized," said Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson City Council, as of 8:01 a.m.

As of 9:18 a.m., Mrochko reported a second wounded in the Korabelny district of Kherson.

"Two people were wounded in Kherson this morning as a result of hostile shelling. The second wounded man, a 54-year-old man, was taken to hospital. At the time of the Russian attack on the Korabelny district of the city, he was on the street," the statement said.

Mrochko also said (as of 8:30 a.m.) that the enemy fired 32 times at Kherson city territorial community during the day, using 128 shells.

Kherson, Sadove, Antonivka, Prydniprovske and Zelenivka were hit.

One man was killed in the shelling, four others were injured of varying severity, two of them in serious condition.

All the injured were provided with medical aid, said the head of the MVA.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office released photos of the aftermath of the morning shelling of Kherson and reported that a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As of 13:13, the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that the Russian army shelled Kherson once again today. A 67-year-old man was injured as a result of an artillery strike.

"Doctors are conducting an examination and providing assistance to the wounded," the administration said in a statement.

As of 14:33, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that one of the educational institutions in Kherson was hit.

"The facade and roof of the building were damaged. There is destruction in the premises," he said.
