The enemy resumed Su-25 and Ka-52 attacks after a break: Tarnavskyi on the situation in Tavria direction

The Russian occupiers do not reduce the intensity of ground attacks, while they are increasingly using aviation. Almost 40 combat engagements were recorded in the area of responsibility of the Tavria Joint Forces Operation over the past day, and after a break, the Russians began using Su-25 attack aircraft and Ka-52 helicopters again.

Despite all this, Ukrainian soldiers are holding the line: more than 400 Russian occupants have been eliminated, and seven more surrendered. Brigadier-General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, commander of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops, spoke about the situation in the Tavria direction.

"The number of enemy ground attacks is not decreasing: 37 combat engagements were registered over the last day. The activity of enemy aviation increased to 18 air strikes. In particular, the enemy resumed using Su-25 attack aircraft and Ka-52 helicopters after a break," Tarnavskyi said.

In total, 428 Russian occupants were eliminated in the Tavriya direction over the last day. Another seven decided to save their lives and surrendered.

The enemy also suffered losses in equipment: 21 units of equipment and weapons were destroyed over the last day:

- five armored combat vehicles

- two artillery systems;

- 10 UAVs;

- two units of special equipment.

In addition, Ukrainian troops blew up three enemy ammunition depots.

As a reminder, AFU eliminated 1,030 occupants and 26 enemy artillery systems in all sectors of the frontline over the last day of December 4. The total number of enemy vehicles destroyed the day before amounted to 106 units.

Russia's total irrecoverable losses in manpower since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have already reached almost 334 thousand people.
