The enemy is learning and adapting: 3rd Separate Mechanized Brigade on the alarming changes at the front
As the full-scale war continues, which has already crossed the two-year mark, the nature of the fighting on the Ukrainian front has changed significantly. The enemy has adapted to the conditions in certain areas and has even learned to respond to the tricks of the Defense Forces.
In particular, the occupiers now have an advantage in using FPV drones in some places. This was stated by the deputy commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Major Maksym Zhorin.
"War is constantly changing. If some time ago it was possible to carry out logistics and maneuvers at night, now even night is no longer safe. Not only night reconnaissance drones but also those that inflict damage are already present at the front in large numbers. There are not so many drops at night, but they are very active," he noted.
According to him, the soldiers of the 3rd Brigade are trying to increase their technical capabilities in this area. After all, all movements and logistical maneuvers take place mainly at night, and during the day, it is mostly only assault operations.
At the same time, the military emphasized, Russian troops are also working on similar things, learning and improving their skills over time.
In particular, the occupiers are adapting to the conditions in certain areas of the frontline and to the work of Ukrainian electronic warfare (EW).
"As for the number of drones of all types, I think the enemy has the advantage, although it all depends on the unit," Zhorin said.
It should be reminded that the soldiers of the 3rd Brigade along with other units of the Defense Forces are currently holding back the enemy in the Avdiivka sector. The commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, said that Russian troops have a significant advantage in ammunition, increasing the intensity of artillery shelling and sending new reserves into the battle.
After visiting military units holding defense in the Avdiivka and Kurakhove directions, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced the replacement of some brigade commanders. He explained that the ability of the unit to hold defense depends on these military leaders.
