Since September 2023, North Korea could have supplied the terrorist country Russia with about 6,700 containers of weapons to wage war against Ukraine. These are mainly artillery ammunition and missiles for multiple launch rocket systems.

South Korea's National Intelligence Service believes that the DPRK is transferring weapons produced in the 1970s to Russia. This was reported by Yonhap News Agency.

South Korean intelligence said that 122-mm artillery shells manufactured in the DPRK in the 1970s ended up on the battlefield in Ukraine. The agency also added that the fact of the transfer of weapons to the Russian occupiers is confirmed by photographs of the shells, which showed letters characteristic of the DPRK. Experts said that these were 122 mm multiple launch rocket system shells.

South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik estimated that North Korea has sent about 6,700 containers to Russia since the summit between their dictators last September. The defense ministry noted that this includes about 3 million 152-mm artillery shells or 500,000 122-mm MLRS shells.

South Korean intelligence also continues to monitor the possibility of illegal supply of missile parts to North Korea amid fears that they may be purchasing such parts to develop new weapons. In addition, the day before, the DPRK announced that it would provide its armed forces with a new 240-mm multiple launch rocket system.

To recap, the United States is closely monitoring Russia's cooperation with the DPRK and Iran. First of all, Washington closely monitors the situation around military cooperation between countries and Moscow, as it helps the aggressor on the battlefield in Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un had planned to develop ties with the aggressor country Russia in order to revive his country's economy. Factories began to operate at increased capacity, and the Minister of Defense admitted that the economic situation in the DPRK has "significantly improved" thanks to Russian supplies of food, raw materials, and oil products.
