The Chair of the NATO Military Committee: Ukraine changed the nature of modern warfare and is on its way to victory
The head of NATO's Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, said that the Ukrainian army has changed the nature of modern warfare and the Armed Forces are approaching victory over the Russian occupiers every day. According to him, the North Atlantic Alliance will continue to support Ukraine during the war and many years after the end of Russian aggression.
Bauer added that Ukraine has changed modern warfare and this will be written about in historical books. The head of NATO's Military Committee said this during the opening of the annual NATO conference at the level of the chiefs of staff of the Alliance, Ukrinform reports.
The admiral emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are fighting a war of unprecedented scale. He noted that such a battle has not yet been covered in the doctrinal field.
"They are fighting a war of unprecedented scale, in an uncharted doctrinal field. Historical books will tell how Ukraine transformed modern warfare. They are moving forward every day, and each success is another step towards victory," Bauer said.
At the same time, the admiral said that the Russian invaders continue to lose more and more positions in the temporarily occupied territories. At the same time, Russia is suffering from the economic impact of sanctions and diplomatic isolation.
Brower emphasized that despite the situation on the battlefield, the Russian leadership still believes that it can "wait out" the collective determination of the Ukrainian people and partners. The Russian propaganda machine is sowing disinformation, hoping to divide the West.
"President Putin wanted NATO to be divided, and he made every attempt to do so. But we are now standing side by side, more united than ever. We are united in the belief that the rule of law is the same for everyone, that conflicts should be resolved through lines of communication, not on the battlefield, and that the right to self-determination is inalienable," said the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their counteroffensive in the Bakhmut direction. Andriivka was liberated. Ukrainian troops also achieved success in the area of Klishchiivka, which worsened the situation of the occupation forces in the area of Bakhmut.
Earlier, ISW analysts stated that the occupiers have big problems. They are eloquently evidenced by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on the Triumph Air Defense system near Yevpatoria. This is not the first Russian Air Defense system destroyed in Crimea, which confirms that there are systematic tactical failures in air defense on the peninsula.
