"Such a decision should be first made in Washington": Russian opposition politician Kurnosova explained how to stop Putin

Putin may attack NATO countries

Russian aggression may not be limited to Ukraine, and the Baltic States will soon be under threat. The Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin will try to use the Donbas scenario, saying that the Baltic states "oppress Russian speakers."

At the same time, the Russian Federation may use the territory of Belarus to carry out its aggressive intentions. To avoid this, the West must make an appropriate political decision. This was stated by Russian opposition politician Olha Kurnosova in an exclusive interview with OBOZ.UA.

According to her, a scenario of Russia's aggression against NATO countries is quite likely. Kurnosova noted that the east of Estonia, which is home to a large Russian-speaking population, could be under threat.

"From an economic point of view, these are rather depressed regions that directly border Russia. And some kind of Donbas scenario - that the Russian-speaking population is being oppressed there - may well develop," Kurnosova said.

She also added that in order to prevent such events from unfolding, the West must make a political decision that will call Putin the greatest threat to global security. At the same time, Kurnosova emphasized that this decision should be made in Washington first.

Kurnosova said that Europe starts to realize the danger of the situation. As an example, she cited French President Emmanuel Macron, who has called Putin at the beginning of the full-scale invasion and now speaks of the possibility of sending French troops into Ukraine.

"There is an understanding that Europe needs its own Armed Forces, an understanding that it is necessary to develop the European military-industrial complex. Therefore, there are hopes that Europe is moving towards strengthening its own security. The main thing is that they move quickly enough and understand how important it is to fight Putin off on the territory of Ukraine by sending weapons," Kurnosova explained.

As a reminder, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that dictator Vladimir Putin is afraid of war with NATO. Still, NATO member states also do not want to fight Russia.

Earlier, Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen said that NATO members should not rule out sending troops to Ukraine. In her opinion, Western countries, including the United States, should not be completely against this idea.

As reported, earlier, the White House commented on the information that the EU countries are discussing the possibility of sending their troops to Ukraine. They said that they would not object to the proposals of other NATO countries to deploy their troops in Ukraine and emphasized that this is a sovereign decision of each country.
