"Starokostiantyniv airfield is the enemy's real pain in the neck" Khmelnytsky region representatives spoke about the consequences of another missile attack

The Russian terrorist army attacked Khmelnytsky Region three times from the evening of August 5 until night. The occupants' target was the airfield in the town of Starokostiantyniv.

Most of the Russian missiles were shot down by Air Defense Forces. This was reported by the first deputy Head of the Regional Military Administration Serhiy Tyurin on Telegram (to see the photo, scroll to the end of the page).

According to the RMA, the blast wave damaged the roof, doors and windows in several private residences of the Starokostiantynivka community. Windows were also blown out in one of the communal cultural institutions, in the premises of the bus station and a commercial premises.

In addition, an enemy attack caused a fire in a corn waste warehouse on the territory of a grain elevator. 16 rescuers on three units of fire and rescue equipment were working at the scene.

The RMA noted that the warehouse fire was eliminated in an area of 1400 square meters. An employee of the facility was injured as a result of the explosion. The Air Defence Forces were working as well.

There was a series of explosions in the Starokostiantynivka and Khmelnytsky communities. Most of the missiles were shot down by the Air Defense Forces. We thank them for their quality work", RMA reported.

 "Suspilne Khmelnytsky" published photos of the consequences of the shelling of the Starokostiantynivka community. Windows in residential buildings and other civilian objects were broken and the facade was damaged.

Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine on August 5. Sea-based Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea and supersonic Kinzhal missiles were launched.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down 57 missiles and drones during two waves of Russian attacks on August 5 and 6. The troops of the aggressor country RF launched 70 means of air attack at the Ukrainian regions in total.
