On August 6, the SSU Special Forces shot down a Russian helicopter over the Kursk region of the Russian aggressor country using an FPV drone. The UAV hit the rear rotor of the enemy vehicle.

This was reported by sources to OBOZ.UA. It is noted that the defeat of the occupiers' helicopter was a unique special operation in the history of wars.

Thus, the SSU has scored another truly unique hit on an enemy target, sources say.

The day before, soldiers of the SSU's Special Operations Center "A" shot down a Mi-28 helicopter using an FPV drone.

In the video that was shared, the SSU drone is seen hitting the rear propeller of the enemy vehicle.

"The SSU has once again demonstrated a high professional level, creative approach, and novelty of solutions used to destroy the enemy. We still have many surprises for the Russians," said an informed source in the SSU.

As OBOZ.UA reported, the day before, footage of an FPV drone of the Ukrainian Defense Forces was leaked online, showing a few seconds before the Russian Mi-28 was hit in the tail. The loss of the helicopter in the Kursk region was also reported by Russian military officials, who said that the aircraft was allegedly undergoing repairs and that the crew had allegedly managed to escape.

Subsequently, Ukrainian activist Serhii Sternenko confirmed the downing of the occupiers' helicopter using an FPV drone purchased with donations from Ukrainians on the border of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. He noted that this was the first such confirmed case.
