SSU destroys more than 500 Russian tanks over a year: among them - T-90 and T-90M worth almost $5 million. Video

During 2023, the Security Service of Ukraine destroyed more than 500 Russian tanks that fired at and tried to break through the positions of the Ukrainian military. Among them are the latest T-90 and T-90M tanks worth almost $5 million each, which the occupiers used to storm Bakhmut and Avdiivka.

This was reported by the SSU press service on December 27. An "explosive" video of attacks on enemy armored vehicles was also released.

According to the special service, every day the SSU methodically "minuses" enemy armored vehicles in battles on the eastern and southern fronts. Among the destroyed Russian tanks are the latest T-90 and T-90M.

First of all, the occupiers used them as part of "armored fists" to storm Avdiivka and Bakhmut.

The enemy also used armored vehicles to deter the Ukrainian counteroffensive at the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions.

The SSU noted that the effective destruction of enemy tanks was the result of filigree operational and combat operations of the special service together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A powerful arsenal of anti-tank weapons and modern drones was deployed to maximize damage.

"The SSU, in cooperation with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, continues to "utilize" Russian personnel and military equipment and thus brings our Victory closer," the special service said in a statement.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, about 90 units of Russian military equipment and weapons were destroyed at the front yesterday. The Armed Forces also eliminated about 790 occupants.

According to the morning operational report of the General Staff, the enemy is trying to break through the Ukrainian defense in the Kupyansk direction. Ukrainian troops also repelled a number of attacks in the Maryinka, Avdiivka, Shakhtarsk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia directions.
