The average daily losses of the Russian occupation forces in the war against Ukraine have reached a new monthly high. These statistics are for September 2024.

This was reported on Monday, October 7, in an intelligence report by the British Ministry of Defense. It is noted that such data was announced by the General Staff of Ukraine. The average daily losses of the Russian Federation at the front amounted to 1,271 people per day (wounded and killed).

The previous record was set in May 2024. Then the occupiers lost an average of 1,262 people a day.

British intelligence emphasized that the increase in casualties is almost certainly due to the expansion of the combat zone in Kharkiv and Kursk regions, as well as the increase in hostilities along the front line.

"Russian troops are likely to continue their attempts to stretch Ukrainian forces, using greater force to overwhelm defensive positions and achieve tactical success," the report says.

According to analysts, the average daily losses of the Russian Federation by the end of 2024 will continue to be 1,000 people a day, despite the approach of winter.

British intelligence emphasized that winter conditions have not led to a reduction in offensive operations or losses because Russia relies on infantry tactics and does not conduct maneuver warfare, which requires better conditions.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day alone, the Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralized about 1,160 servicemen of the Russian occupation army at the front. They also destroyed 282 pieces of its military equipment and weapons. In total, Russia's estimated losses in manpower amounted to 661,630 occupants.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, during the two weeks of fighting (from September 23 to October 6), the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed at least 13 headquarters or command posts of Russian troops. In addition, Ukrainian soldiers canceled several enemy ammunition, fuel and lubricant depots.
