Russian propaganda presented a broken subversive reconnaissance group as a breakthrough into Sumy region: the SOF responded to the fake news and showed the destruction of the occupiers

Russian propagandists once again tried to make wishful thinking by claiming that Russian troops had "broken through" the border in the Sumy region and allegedly seized the village. It was an attempt by a hostile subversive group that was successfully stopped by Ukrainian special forces.

The events unfolded on the border on December 10. This was reported by the press service of the Special Operations Forces, showing a video of how the Kremlin's mouthpieces lied about it and how it actually ended.

For example, Russian propagandists claimed that "Russian troops broke through to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" on the border of the Sumy region from the village of Plekhovo, Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces emphasized that thanks to the coordinated work of the defenders, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of Russians near the border with the Sumy region was quickly detected and tracked the route of each enemy.

Subsequently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces operators eliminated some of the enemy saboteurs with accurate drone strikes and ambushed them.

The surviving soldiers of the Russian army were forced to flee to the Russian side of the border. However, even there, the SOF operators caught up with the enemies: they killed several of them in an ambush and neutralized the last two with small arms.

"All the work can be seen in our video. We are working to continue to bring death to the enemies and smash their fakes," the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major Dmytro Lykhovii, said on December 10 that the information about the "breakthrough" of the state border by Russian troops in Sumy region was not true. The State Border Guard Service and the Sumy Regional Military Administration have also officially denied the allegations.
