Russian military abandoned and declared dead their commander while fleeing to Zaporizhzhya: National Guardsmen took the occupant prisoner

The Russian invaders, having been subjected to a counterattack by the Defense Forces, abandoned their positions and fled the battlefield. Since their commander, Lieutenant Alexei Melnikov, was severely wounded in the head, the invaders decided not to drag their "heavy load" behind them, but instead abandoned him and declared him heroically dead.

This was reported in the press service of the National Guard. It was our fighters who caught Melnikov bleeding and took him prisoner.

The Russian commander was given all the medical assistance that was required in his situation. After the occupant regains consciousness, he will be interrogated.

At the same time, the propaganda media are churning out stories about how the heroic Lieutenant Melnikov, "while holding back the Bandera guerrillas, covered his own men and was treacherously killed by the fascists". Thus, the notorious saying "Russia does not abandon its own" has been given a new meaning "a woman from the wagon is easier on the mare".

Earlier OBOZREVATEL reported that one of the invaders was captured by AFU fighters when he literally fell asleep at the position. The situation was ironically commented on by journalist Yuri Butusov, who wrote: "the soldier sleeps, the service goes on".
