Russia tried to kill Budanov more than 10 times: Main Directorate of Intelligence reveals details

On the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov the occupants tried to make an assassination attempt about 10 times. Also, Russian propagandists regularly spread fakes about his death or injuries.

This was reported by the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence Andriy Yusov in an interview on the Youtube channel ISLND TV. He noted that there were no fatalities as a result of Russian assassination attempts.

Thus, according to Yusov, the occupants repeatedly attempted to assassinate Kyrylo Budanov. One of such incidents, which the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence experienced, was an air and missile strike.

"In total, cumulatively more than ten. This is from 2014," Yusov told us.

He emphasized that despite these numerous attempts by the occupiers, the Defense Ministry's Main Directorate of Intelligence never once stopped its activities, all employees of the department continued to work, including at the place of permanent deployment of the department. He also laughed at how the occupants persistently spread fakes and outright lies about the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, as this information is quite easy to refute. Yusov joked, urging them to "continue in the same vein."

"Very amusing were then attempts by Russian propaganda to explain that someone was then treated, some consequences, there hairstyle is wrong, there is something else," the Main Directorate of Intelligence representative said.

Earlier, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov said that the occupants can continue to hold the defense even for the rest of their lives, if Ukraine will not take active measures of offensive. The enemy has enough human resources, at the same time all other reserves have already been exhausted.

The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence also spoke about a series of landings by Ukrainian intelligence officers in Crimea in 2016. In some of them, according to Budanov, he himself was directly involved.
