Russia resumes the use of Su-34 and Su-35 for air strikes: AFU shares details

Occupants resume the use of Su-34 and Su-35 for air strikes

The Russian occupation forces resumed using their Su-34 and Su-35 fighter-bombers to conduct air strikes along the front line. In just one day, 18 air strikes were recorded.

This was stated by Oleksandr Stupun, spokesman for the joint press center of the Tauride Defense Forces, on the Liniia Frontu (Frontline) program. The enemy carried out at least two attacks in each of the frontline areas with the help of aircraft.

According to the military, the most tense situation is currently in the area of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region, where the occupants do not stop their attacks.

"The enemy started using Su-35 and Su-34 again. 18 air strikes were recorded over the last day. It was not only Avdiivka but also the entire frontline. That is, 2-3 air strikes were recorded in almost all directions," Stupun said.

He also said that the troops of the aggressor country doubled the use of kamikaze drones (compared to the previous day). More than 100 cases were recorded in one day.

Stupun also clarified that Russian troops continue to lose a large number of military equipment. Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed or severely damaged more than a hundred pieces of enemy equipment.

In just one day, the enemy's troops on the frontline in this area have lost 500 soldiers.

As a reminder, on December 24, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down a Su-34 fighter and a Su-30SM bomber in the Mariupol and Odesa sectors, respectively. These losses were confirmed by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the morning of December 25.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had destroyed three Russian Su-34 bombers in southern Ukraine. They took off to attack the positions of Ukrainian soldiers in the Kherson region.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned Russian pilots against attempts to attack Ukraine, reminding them that over the past week, the defenders of Ukrainian skies have shot down five invaders' warplanes.
