Russia has increased the number of launches of guided bombs along the entire front line: the Air Force spoke about the situation

Russia increases the number of bombing strikes, in particular in Kherson region

The Russian Federation's troops have begun to use aerial bombs very actively to strike frontline settlements and positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Recently, the number of bombs launched by the enemy per day could exceed 50.

This was stated by the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Yuriy Ihnat. On November 6, he spoke at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine - Ukrinform (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

Yuriy Ihnat at a briefing

Six months ago, the occupation forces used guided aerial bombs in isolated cases. They were most often dropped on Beryslav district of Kherson region from Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft.

"Today we see the use of these bombs virtually along the entire contact line. Dozens and dozens - more than fifty a day - of bombs are flying at the positions of Ukrainian troops and at the frontline territories," said Ihnat.

To counter this threat, it is necessary to suppress the activities of enemy tactical aircraft: Su-34 and Su-35, support aircraft, helicopters.

To do this, Ukraine needs more long-range air defense systems. Western-made fighters, which the Ukrainian Air Force may receive in the future, would also help.

Ihnat noted that the enemy does not use free-fall bombs, as the defenders of the Ukrainian sky control the territory.

It should be added that on November 5, Putin's army launched 87 bombs at Kherson region, the largest number of bombs in the entire period of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported:

- Vadym Skibitsky, a representative of the Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, said that Russian troops could launch massive attacks on Ukraine's energy facilities after the onset of cold weather. These will not be primitive attacks like last year's.

- The spokeswoman for the Southern Defense Forces, Natalia Gumenyuk, said that Russia has the ability to launch up to 56 Kalibr cruise missiles in one air attack.
