Prosecutor's Office shows photos of car in which Russians shot brother and sister in Sumy region

On January 27, 2024, Russian occupants opened fire on a vehicle with civilians in the Khotyn community in Sumy region. The driver of the car, a 54-year-old man, and his 68-year-old sister were killed in the enemy shelling.

A photo of the car in which the Russians shot the brother and sister was published on the Telegram channel of the Prosecutor General's Office. The Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office initiated a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder - part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Currently, prosecutors, together with other law enforcement agencies, are recording the consequences of the shelling. The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the SSU Office in Sumy region.

Earlier it was reported that on the night of January 27, the Russian terrorist army attacked Sloviansk, Donetsk region, with an Iskander M ballistic missile. As a result of the attack, significant damage to civilian infrastructure was recorded in the city.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the night of January 27, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with four Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs. Air defense forces destroyed all air targets. The enemy also attacked Donetsk region with an Iskander-M missile.
