The Russian occupation army continues to terrorize the residents of the Kharkiv region with shelling. On the night of January 6, the invaders attacked residential buildings in Kupiansk with multiple rocket launchers.

The shelling destroyed a house, and rescuers had to pull a woman from under the rubble. The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported this on Telegram.

According to him, Putin's terrorists attacked the city of Kupiansk with MLRS at about 00:40. The shelling destroyed a private house. Rescuers pulled a 61-year-old woman from under the rubble and hospitalized her with a foot injury.

Other settlements in the Kharkiv region were also under attack by the Russian occupiers. During the day on January 5, the invaders shelled the village of Lyptsi in the Kharkiv district. As a result, a house, an administrative building and warehouses were damaged.

In addition, Russian troops attacked the village of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv district. Enemy fire damaged a private house and a summer kitchen.

In total, more than 15 settlements in the Kharkiv region were under enemy artillery and mortar fire. In particular, Hatyshche and Bochkove in the Chuhuiv district; Dvorichanske, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka and Berestove in the Kupiansk district.

The press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine clarified that the enemy continued to strike at the residential sector of Kupiansk at night. A school building and residential buildings were hit.

Rescuers and medics arrived at the scene. A resident of the building was lying on a bed in a room under the destroyed roof structure. Rescuers quickly freed her from the rubble and transported her to an ambulance. The victim was later hospitalized with a leg injury at Kharkiv Regional Hospital.

As a reminder, Russian troops may intensify their efforts in the Kupiansk sector of the Kharkiv region in the coming weeks. They intend to achieve significant territorial gains: to capture the cities of Kupiansk and Borova during the winter of 2024.
