The Russian invaders decided to hide the number of their aircraft stationed at the Belbek airfield in Crimea from the eyes of the partisans and the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The invaders simply added a few MiG-31 aircraft there.

This was pointed out by OSINT investigator MT Anderson. On social network X (formerly Twitter), he published satellite photos that expose the lies of the Russian military (to view the news, scroll down to the end).

We would like to remind you that after the occupation of Crimea in 2014, the aggressor country turned the Belbek International Airport, which served Sevastopol and other cities of the peninsula, into an air base of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Since then, the airport has been closed to civil aviation, and the occupiers use it for their military purposes.

Last week, MT Anderson reported that the Russian Armed Forces had deployed additional MiG-31 aircraft there, which in the K modification are capable of launching Kinzhal missiles.

Now the OSINT specialist has emphasized that the Russian two-seat supersonic all-weather long-range fighter interceptors at the airfield near Sevastopol turned out to be a fake.

He cited several facts that can be clearly seen on  satellite images. According to him, various fighters and attack aircraft are indeed visible at the airfield - for example, Su-27, Su-30 and Su-34, as well as four MiG-31s.

However, the expert says that the last additional aircraft were simply painted on the parking lot by the Russians. The satellite image shows a clear absence of the MiG-31's shadow.

"The Russian VKS use hangars to hide/protect aircraft," the investigator added.

As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces commented on the deployment of MiG-31 aircraft by the occupiers near Sevastopol. They emphasized that the enemy's deployment of aircraft is nothing new, as Russia uses about 40 airfields in total.
