Occupants use Ukrainian prisoners as human shields during assault operations: video leaked online
The Russian terrorist army is using Ukrainian prisoners of war as human shields. The invaders are conducting assault operations literally from behind the backs of Ukrainian soldiers.
Such crimes were noticed in the performance of the 234th Air Assault Regiment as part of the 76th airborne assault division of the Russian Armed Forces. This was reported by Radio Liberty.
At the end of November, Russian terrorists continued their attempts to regain their positions in the Zaporizhzhia sector. In particular, near the village of Robotyne, which was de-occupied in the summer, the invaders tried to advance toward the positions of Ukrainian soldiers.
A reconnaissance drone captured a video showing a group of terrorists leading three Ukrainian prisoners of war forward while firing behind them.
The location where the events took place was established, but the military asked not to specify the exact location of the events. At the same time, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that Russian troops of the 234th Air Assault Regiment as part of the 76th Air Assault Division were operating in this area.
In his turn, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets reacted to the video of another war crime committed by the Russian army. He stated that if the information in the video is confirmed, it will be a direct violation of the Geneva Conventions.
As a reminder, about 28,000 Ukrainian citizens are currently held in Russian captivity. Thus, the occupiers seek to suppress the resistance of the local population in the temporarily occupied territories.
Earlier it was reported that 104 torture chambers for our citizens were found in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine in 8 regions. People were tortured and subjected to various forms of violence there. Most of these places of illegal detention were in the Kharkiv region.
