Occupants turned Bakhmut into ruins: the network shows what the city looks like now. Photo

Bakhmut today

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has shown what the long-suffering Bakhmut looks like, which remains an impregnable fortress for the Russian occupiers. And although the enemy army has been unable to capture the city for 16 long months, it does not miss an opportunity to avenge its humiliation on the battlefield by destroying the city by burning it to the ground.

The horrifying footage was posted on the agency's Twitter account. They show a bird's-eye view of Bakhmut smoking, entire districts missing, broken windows in the surviving high-rises blackened with empty sockets, and places where people walked, taught their children, ate ice cream, turned into ashes.

"This is the city of Bakhmut. Or rather, it was a city. What the Russians have turned it into can hardly be called a city - the ruins of a once beautiful town with a developed infrastructure and beautiful architecture," the authors captioned the photos.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are making the occupiers regret destroying our cities. During the winter fighting, the Russian army suffered more losses than in the first weeks of the full-scale invasion. At the same time, the actual number of enemy casualties is probably many times higher than the information that is publicly available.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, members of the Defence Forces raised the Ukrainian flag at the Kurdyumivska dam in the Bakhmut sector. This happened on 26 June as a result of a successful assault by Ukrainian soldiers.

Also, footage of Mariupol, which has been under occupation for more than a year, was posted online. The city centre, which was once one of the fastest growing metropolises in Ukraine, is now a depressing place with the arrival of the Russian world.
