Occupants strike in Dnipro region: a private sector was hit, a woman was killed. Photos and videos

On the morning of Wednesday, October 18, Russian occupation forces attacked the village of Obukhivka in the Dnipro region. It hit the private sector, destroying the villagers' houses and claiming a life.

This was reported by local monitoring channels and the authorities. At the same time , explosions were also heard in Zaporizhzhia during the air raid alert (to see photos and videos, scroll down to the bottom of the news story).

For his part, Serhiy Bratchuk, head of the Public Council at the Odesa Regional Military Administration, drew attention to a report that said Russians had launched Iskander missiles from the temporarily occupied Dzhankoy in Crimea.

"Simultaneous explosions in Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia," he commented indignantly.

Dnipro region

Following the reports of explosions, residents of the city published a photo claiming that it shows "smoke in the suburbs of Dnipro."

Later, the mayor of the city, Boris Filatov, confirmed that the enemy had hit the private sector in the region - unfortunately, there are victims.

"Again, again, again, the f*ckers are hitting the private sector with rockets in Dnipro. There are dead and injured," he said.

The head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, added that the shelling hit private houses in Dniprovsky district.

"Preliminary, a person was killed. Three people were injured. The consequences of the attack are being clarified. We already know about six damaged houses. Details will follow later," he said.

Officials urged bloggers and media to refrain from any photos or comments for now.

According to the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, the explosions in Zaporizhzhya were the work of air defense. Meanwhile, in the Dnipro region, the enemy hit houses in the village of Obukhivka, killing a 31-year-old woman.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko emphasizes that eight private houses in the residential sector in Obukhivka have been smashed.

"A 31-year-old woman was killed, four people were injured: Russia has once again hit civilians. Rescuers, police, and medical service are working. The wounded are being treated," he wrote.

As of 11:20 a.m., the Interior Ministry clarified the consequences of the arrival, noting that a private house and an outbuilding were destroyed in Obukhivka, 21 private houses, 11 outbuildings, a car and a low-pressure gas pipeline were damaged.

Mykola Lukashuk, the head of the Dnipro Regional Council, also reacted to the enemy attack.

"Russian scum. The wild, vile tribe of the invaders has once again hit civilians... For your understanding. For example, an Iskander missile from the temporarily occupied Crimea takes an average of 5-6 minutes to reach us. Therefore, when the Air Force reports a missile threat in our region, be sure to respond," he urged.

The regional prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the Russian missile attack on the Dnipro suburbs (part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code "Violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder").

In addition to the dead and injured, residential buildings, cars, a gas pipeline, and power lines were damaged in the village.

"Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are taking measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the aggressor state," the Prosecutor General's Office said.

On the night of October 18, the Russian occupiers attacked Zaporizhzhia six times, probably with S-300 missiles. The enemy shelling destroyed eight apartments in a five-story building, with people trapped under the rubble. In the morning, two people were reported dead, at least four injured and several missing.

As OBOZ.UA reported, on the night of October 16, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Ukrainian cities. The explosions occurred in Dnipro and Nikopol, Dnipro region, as well as in Myrhorod, Poltava region.
