Occupants shelled Kherson region at night en masse

On the night of October 8, Russian occupation forces shelled Kherson and the Stanislav community en masse. As a result of the hostile attacks, 11 civilians were injured, including a child.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin on his Telegram channel. According to him, the invaders fired from Grad rocket launchers (to see photos and videos, scroll down to the bottom of the news).

"Kherson region survived another terrible night. The enemy repeatedly fired at the city and settlements on the right bank. Dozens of wounded, including a child," he wrote.

According to the official, residential areas of Kherson came under enemy fire. Houses, cars, and gas distribution networks were damaged. Some shells did not explode, so they were eliminated by rescuers.

11 residents of Kherson were injured. A 27-year-old woman and her nine-month-old daughter were taken to hospital in moderate condition.

A 33-year-old Red Cross medic was also among the victims. The man was also hospitalized with an explosive injury and contusion.

"Several residents of Kherson suffered an acute stress reaction. We had to take them to the hospital," Prokudin said.

He clarified that these were a 67-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman, a 56-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman, and an 87-year-old and a 62-year-old woman.

In addition, doctors provided the necessary assistance to the injured men aged 24 and 34.

The Stanislav community also came under Russian fire from Grad multiple rocket launchers that night. According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, enemy shells hit a private house in one of the villages. A family of four adults was injured.

Law enforcement officials opened a criminal investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war.

"Multi-storey buildings, private houses, cars in the parking lot and under houses, shells sticking out of the ground. This is the picture on the streets of Kherson now. The occupiers were shelling the city all night again. Some objects were hit repeatedly. 11 people were injured, including a nine-month-old girl," the head of the RMA added later, publishing a video of the consequences of the terror.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, 43-year-old nurse Svitlana Vishtomova was killed during one of the Russian shelling in Kherson. Last year, the woman stayed in her hometown throughout the occupation, treating young Kherson residents. Now three children are left without their mother.
