Russia shelled the center of Kharkiv

On the morning of August 6, Russian terrorist forces launched a missile attack on Kharkiv, allegedly with an Iskander. Dense residential areas of the Shevchenkivskyi district came under fire: dozens of buildings, including a polyclinic, were damaged and eight people were injured.

Law enforcement officers were working at the scene to record another crime of the occupiers. This was reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the regional military administration.

"Be careful – the shelling may continue," the official wrote at 09:56, adding that a fire broke out at the site of the strike.

"The occupiers struck the central part of Kharkiv. Emergency services have arrived at the site of the strike," commented Oleh Syniehubov, head of the OVA.

According to updated reports, a polyclinic building in the center of Kharkiv was damaged by a Russian missile strike.

"At this moment , two people with acute stress reactions have been treated. There may be people under the rubble," the OVA added.

Earlier, Syniehubov noted that the occupiers hit the city with an Iskander missile. The shelling damaged dozens of civilian buildings, including a polyclinic and a pharmacy, cars of Kharkiv residents, and residential infrastructure.

According to the updated data as of 12:50 p.m., medics have treated at least five injured civilians. Two women were hospitalized for surgery, the rest will be treated on an outpatient basis.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that as of 15:13 the number of casualties increased to 8 civilians. Among them is an 8-month-old boy. Rescuers have pulled 5 people from the rubble. Rescue operations are ongoing.
