Occupants attacked energy facilities in Ukraine again: equipment damaged in four regions

Russia attacks Ukraine's power system with Shahed drones

On the night of June 20, the aggressor country Russia attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure with Shahed-type kamikaze d rones. Air defense was operating in the regions, but there were also hits.

Damage to equipment at facilities in four regions was recorded. This was reported by the national energy company Ukrenergo.

"Last night, Russian UAVs launched a new massive strike on the civilian energy infrastructure of Ukraine," the company said.

It specified that the attack targeted equipment in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Dnipro and Donetsk regions. Damage was recorded at the energy facilities.

Earlier, the head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Borzov, reported that a critical infrastructure facility in the region was hit, with no casualties. Similarly, shrapnel damaged power lines and equipment at one of the enterprises in Kyiv region.

DTEK's thermal power plant was hit, injuring three employees of the critical infrastructure facility.

In Dnipropetrovs'k region, three men were injured in the attack, in particular in Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts of the region.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, due to massive Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy sector, blackouts will continue to be applied in the regions. It will take months to repair the damaged infrastructure, while some of them are beyond repair.
