Occupants attack shipyard in Odesa region: fire breaks out, there are victims

Russian troops launched a missile strike in Odesa region

On the morning of October 30, Russian troops launched a missile attack on a shipyard in Odesa region. A fire broke out there, and two people were injured.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper. According to monitoring channels, it may have been an Oniks missile from the temporarily occupied Crimea that hit the facility (scroll down to the end to see the photo).

According to the official, Russian missiles attacked the Odesa region. As a result of the strike on the shipyard, a fire broke out, which rescuers quickly extinguished. The administrative building and equipment of the enterprise were damaged.

"Two people were injured. A man born in 1961 and a woman born in 1966 were taken to the hospital in moderate condition. They are being provided with all necessary medical care," he emphasized.

It should be noted that at 08:33 an air alert was announced in the Odesa region, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of the threat of enemy ballistic missile use. The keeper appealed to the residents of Odesa district, urging them to stay in shelters until the air raid was over.

At about 08:38, Suspilne correspondents reported several loud explosions in the regional center. Eyewitnesses said that a column of smoke was visible afterward.

At the same time, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported that the occupiers had launched missiles, presumably Oniks, from Crimea near the village of Okhotnikove in the Saky district. Inverse traces of the missiles were visible even from Simferopol.

Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, also said that the enemy could have attacked Odesa with ballistic weapons. He reminded that a ballistic missile, if launched from the territory of Crimea, flies for a rather short time: it takes a few minutes from launch to arrival.

"We need to understand this and respond immediately. Because ballistics is fast. This is exactly what happened now. We will wait for reports from the local authorities on what type of weapon was used," Ihnat said during the telethon.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the night of October 23, Russia attacked Odesa region with kamikaze drones. Air defense forces shot down all nine Shaheds, but the falling debris caused a fire in the port infrastructure in Odesa district.
