Occupants are trying to improve tactical situation in Kharkiv region and conducting assaults in Avdiivka sector - General Staff

Ukraine's defenders clashed with Russian occupation forces in 78 combat engagements in all sectors of the frontline yesterday. The situation was the most intense in the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka sectors, where Ukrainian troops repelled fifty enemy attacks.

The invaders were also prevented from improving the tactical situation near Kupiansk in Kharkiv region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine described the situation in a morning report on March 4.

"The day before, the Russian Armed Forces launched seven missile and 50 air strikes, fired 112 missile attacks from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, civilians were killed and injured, and multi-storey buildings, private homes, and infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged.

On March 3, Russian airstrikes hit the towns of Lisne, Rozhkovychi, Druzhba, Bobylivka, Kyianytsia, Yamne in Sumy region; Vovchansk, Velykyi Burluk, Synkivka in Kharkiv region; Nadiya, Tverdokhlibove, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Nove, Terny, Bohdanivka, Predtechyne, Druzhba, Oleksandropil, Pokrovsk, Novobakhmutivka, Orlivka, Umanske, Pervomayske, Netaylove, Kurakhove, Vodyane, Vuhledar, Urozhayne, Staromayorske - Donetsk; Verkhnya Tersa, Robotyne - Zaporizhzhia. More than 80 towns and villages in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

The situation in the Volyn and Polissya sectors remains unchanged. In the Siversky and Slobozhansky sectors, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage activities, and increases the density of minefields along the border in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

In the Kupyansk sector, the occupants launched 11 attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka and Tabaivka in Kharkiv region, unsuccessfully trying to improve their tactical position. Our troops repelled five more Russian attacks in the Lyman sector near Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, Terny and Verkhnekamianske in Donetsk region.

Five occupants' attacks were repelled in the Bakhmut sector - in the vicinity of the towns of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 20 attacks by the Russian army in the areas of Berdychiv, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske. In the Novopavlivsk sector, they repelled 30 enemy attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Orikhiv sector, the occupants made three unsuccessful attacks near Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region. They did not conduct any offensive actions in the Kherson sector. The Defense Forces continue to hold their positions there.

In general, our soldiers are inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting them along the entire front line. Yesterday, the aviation of the Defense Forces attacked seven areas of concentration of the Russian Armed Forces personnel.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the aggressor country Russia has concentrated a group of 122 thousand occupants in the Liman-Kupyansk direction. They have been trying to storm Synkivka for several months now, but the enemy has not been successful in this area of the front.
