The death toll from the shelling of Kostyantynivka in Donetsk Oblast by Russian troops has risen to three. A girl born in 2011, who was injured during an enemy attack, died in hospital.
This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page). Thus, two children and one adult have already died as a result of the shelling.
"Today at 19:25 we received a terrible news: a girl born in 2011 unfortunately died after the surgeries and all resuscitation measures. So three people died, two of them children: a 10-year-old boy died on the spot yesterday and a girl born in 2011 died an hour ago. A 28-year-old man also died on the spot yesterday," Kyrylenko said.
The rest of the victims, including three children, are being treated and their lives are not in danger.
"The adults have also been provided with assistance and are undergoing inpatient treatment. The mother of the deceased boy's condition has deteriorated, she has been evacuated to a neighbouring region, and all necessary assistance is being provided to ensure that her life and health are not threatened," the head of the Regional Military Administration added.
Kyrylenko said that the cluster munition launched by the invaders from the Smerch MLRS exploded right over a pond where local residents were resting at the time.
