No "Shahed" flew to Kyiv: KCIA tells about the consequences of the Russian attack
Russian kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136/131 type failed to reach Kyiv last night, July 4. During the attack, all enemy targets were destroyed by the defenders of the sky on the approach to the capital.
This was stated by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhii Popko. He noted that information about the type and number of destroyed enemy UAVs will be reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the official, this time the aggressor carried out an air attack on Ukraine exclusively with the use of attack drones. They were launched from the territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, approaching the Ukrainian capital in waves and from different directions.
However, thanks to the effective work of air defense, not a single drone made it to Kyiv. The air defense forces and means destroyed the Shaheds on the outskirts of the capital.
"There were no casualties or damage in Kyiv. The city's vital activity is not disrupted. Take care of yourself and always respond to air raid alarms!" added the KMVA chief.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, last night the defenders of the sky shot down 21 out of 22 kamikaze drones within the boundaries of not only Kyiv but also Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Poltava, Sumy, and Dnipro regions.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on June 30, the aggressor country, the Russian Federation, launched a missile attack on Kyiv region, which injured three people, including a child. There were no hits to residential or critical infrastructure, but a high-rise building, private houses, and a fire department were damaged by falling debris in the capital and the region.
