Moscow is not to be envied: Media reminded Russians how many nuclear weapons Ukraine's friends have
The leadership of the terrorist country of Russia continues to threaten the entire civilized world with nuclear weapons and has already shown in practice that it is ready to use any means of destruction in the war with Ukraine. At the same time, the Kremlin prefers not to tell Russians that Western countries also have nuclear weapons capable of turning Moscow into ashes.
In the United States alone, the stockpile of nuclear warheads can reach 3,700 units. This is reported by the Defense Express portal.
The Kremlin's rhetoric is full of threats to turn the United States and European countries into radioactive ash, but at the same time, Russians are not told about potential retaliatory measures. Russian nuclear missiles can be countered by hundreds or even thousands of warheads around the world.
Today, the Russian Federation has the largest number of nuclear warheads – about 4,400 – but keeps 1,710 deployed and ready for use. The United States, with a stockpile of 3,700, has deployed about 1,770 strategic nuclear weapons. They are deployed on 400 Minuteman III silo-based intercontinental missiles and 294 Trident II missiles on submarines. That's 694 in total, which means that the United States has an advantage over Russia in terms of missiles of this class. However, there are fewer warheads on missiles – 1370, and another 400 on strategic aircraft.
Analysts reminded that the concept of nuclear war envisages a counterstrike when the launch of own ballistic missiles occurs immediately after the enemy's missiles are fixed. Therefore, if the Kremlin decides to start a nuclear war, the Russians can expect to receive more than enough warheads for their total destruction.
At the same time, experts emphasized that the traditional launching areas of U.S. submarines in the North Sea are closer to Russia than to the United States.
Moreover, a very important component is to guarantee the destruction of the enemy under any circumstances. Even if the enemy manages to launch a single nuclear strike, the launch can be given with the help of the Airborne Launch Control System (ALCS), which operates in conditions when the White House is no longer in place. That is why France and the United Kingdom keep their strategic nuclear forces on submarines.
As a reminder, on the morning of November 21, the terrorist country Russia used an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time in the war against Ukraine. As of early 2024, Russia had 521 land- and sea-based ICBMs in service.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, Russia is talking about a possible assassination attempt on Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin. According to sources in the FSB, the reason is that he frightened influential people with his plans for the Oreshnik system related to nuclear escalation.
