"May be of tactical value": experts shared what to expect after the breakthrough of the AFU near Verbove

The breakthrough of the defense forces near the village of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region, where our defenders have densely occupied the settlement, is of tactical value for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now Ukrainian defenders can start destroying enemy resources and the logistics of their supply as reinforcements.

Vladyslav Selezniov, a military expert and former chief of the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine. He also noted that this breakthrough will not have a significant impact on this area.

"The occupiers have moved the reserves of at least four airborne divisions here, and these forces are trying to attack from the flanks. That is, our army is systematically destroying its artillery, armored vehicles and personnel. What will happen next? I am sure that it is unlikely that we will be able to actively move forward until the units that replaced those who held the defense of the Surovikin line" he explained.

The expert added that the Ukrainian army will be able to focus on destroying the combat potential of the invaders shortly.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on September 22, the Defense Forces broke into the village of Verbove in the Polohivskyi district. As of September 24, they continued to attack the enemy in the village, using armored vehicles.
