A man and a child were killed in Brovary district of Kyiv region as a result of a Russian missile attack on the night of August 11. The debris of the downed enemy missile fell on residential buildings and people were trapped under the rubble.
There are also injuries. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service, publishing footage from the scene of the tragedy.
Rescuers said that last night, rocket fragments fell on private houses in the Brovary district. Three people, including a teenager, were seriously injured.
"Two more people - a 35-year-old man and his four-year-old son - were trapped under the rubble of the building. Unfortunately, they were found dead during search and rescue operations," the statement said.
Psychologists of the State Emergency Service, doctors, and law enforcement officers were also working at the scene. As of 08:00, police documented damage to eight houses and four vehicles.
A 45-year-old man, a 53-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy were also injured in the destroyed house, from the rubble of which rescuers pulled a man and a child. They were hospitalized and are being provided with the necessary medical care.
Under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings over violation of the laws and customs of war has been initiated (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, on August 11, the Russian Armed Forces carried out an air attack on Kyiv region, killing a four-year-old child and his father in Brovary district. Three other people, including a 12-year-old boy, were hospitalized with various injuries.
Residential buildings, outbuildings and vehicles were damaged in the area. Prosecutors, investigators, and experts are documenting another Russian war crime.
